I am a wife, mother and educator. I am an overall creative person! In my former life I was a high school history teacher. Right now I am enjoying life as a stay at home mom to a toddler and a preschooler and wife to my best friend! I also enjoy social media and blogging. After having two children within two years at the ages of 40 and 41 and gaining about 50 pounds each time, I realized that something had to change. I found myself at a crossroads in life where my vision of myself in my 40's did not meet up with the reality. This is when Team Fit Mommy was born. I made up my mind that I was going to lose the weight and weigh less than I did before having my children. I set out to change my life to ensure I will be around for my children far into the future. I started logging my diet through apps like MyFitnessPal and then embarked on the SHRED Diet to reach my goals. I realized that others were going through the same journey as I am and decided to share my experiences. Through exercise and diet I am becoming the woman that I envision and I'm taking you on the journey with me. I look forward to sharing great information about family fitness and nutrition, along with the inspiration to get it done. Join the team and become the person you always knew you could be!

Welcome to FitFaith Life Fitnesss

Change can be scary, and change can be fun! One thing that is certain is that change is a constant in life. Often we have to make the decision whether we are going to watch from the sidelines or are we going to jump in and run with it! Today I am running with it! I started blogging at TeamFitMommy about three years ago.It began as a way to keep myself accountable while I was losing the baby weight from having two children back to back. My goal was to share how I was losing weight as a new mom. I rebranded to  FitFaith Life about a year ago. I realized that although I will always be a mom, my fitness journey was about so much more. It was really about who I was becoming as a person, not just who I was as a mom. I realized that I have love for fitness and have decided that I would use my God given gift as an educator to empower others who want to live their best lives too!

FitFaith Life Fitness is my new endeavor to share my workouts and will eventually become my business site when I complete my personal trainer certificate.  As a follower, you can expect to see videos and graphics to help you incorporate more exercise into your life.

My personal philosophy for fitness would fall into the category of “Functional Fitness”. Functional fitness exercises train your muscles to work together and prepare them for daily tasks by simulating common movements you might do at home, at work or in sports. While using various muscles in the upper and lower body at the same time, functional fitness exercises also emphasize core stability.  I believe that the stronger you are the better life you can lead.
