I am a wife, mother and educator. I am an overall creative person! In my former life I was a high school history teacher. Right now I am enjoying life as a stay at home mom to a toddler and a preschooler and wife to my best friend! I also enjoy social media and blogging. After having two children within two years at the ages of 40 and 41 and gaining about 50 pounds each time, I realized that something had to change. I found myself at a crossroads in life where my vision of myself in my 40's did not meet up with the reality. This is when Team Fit Mommy was born. I made up my mind that I was going to lose the weight and weigh less than I did before having my children. I set out to change my life to ensure I will be around for my children far into the future. I started logging my diet through apps like MyFitnessPal and then embarked on the SHRED Diet to reach my goals. I realized that others were going through the same journey as I am and decided to share my experiences. Through exercise and diet I am becoming the woman that I envision and I'm taking you on the journey with me.
